We met at sunrise for Brian and Brandi’s North Avenue Beach engagement session. While it felt a bit chilly out, it was still a gorgeous day to be out taking pictures.
Also North Avenue Beach has one of the most beautiful views of the Chicago skyline. The light from the sunrise left a beautiful glow over the city and them.
It was such a privilege to get to take their engagement photos. Brandi and Brian are so sweet as a couple. They love was so evident when they looked into each other’s eyes that I couldn’t just help smiling as photographed them!
Enjoy the photos from our early sunrise session!
Sometimes you meet someone and you know you can’t put into words how right it is. The words just don’t come out that way! Amy and Paul definitely understand feelings that are bigger than words!
When you meet your person, you know! They know. Words may often times be too much. Labels may not seem entirely right. BUT their hearts know they are meant to be together. When I am with them I know it too. I can feel all the hearts and l.o.v.e.
I loved watching them together. Having fun together. There is nothing like watching people in l.o.v.e. We had a great time wandering around Belmont Harbor for their engagement session. They braved the early morning for some dreaming morning light.
They brought Lucy the other member of their family to enjoy the session with them. This little spit fire of a dog held her own during the portraits!
I adore these two people so much and I hope you love their photos!
I’ve known Tiffany since high school but it had many years since we had seen or talked to each other. I met her fiance Koa for the first time at their engagement session. While Tiffany has of course grown up and changed as we all do after school, she is still bubbling with personality and fun. It didn’t surprise me a bit that her and her fiance are so playful and obviously have a great time together.
We met at the Long Beach Aquarium early in the morning so we could be some of the first people in. We decided to enjoy the a little bit of the scenery around the aquarium before going in.
The Aquarium is a special place for them because right across the street Koa proposed to Tiffany. They told me the story together of how he did it and was beautiful to hear them share it and how he included the people important to their relationship.
The day was beautiful and sunny. I had the best time talking to an old friend and meeting the love of her life. It’s so obivious spending time with them that they are perfect for each other and that they compliment each other so well. Their love and joy is truly special to be around.
Thanks so much Tiff and Koa for spending such a wonderful morning with me and allowing me to be a part of your story.
I’m so pumped to be going to California this August. I’ve lived in Chicago for close to 15 years but at my heart I’m a Cali girl.
I miss endless sunshine and easy weather especially when winter makes me want to be hermit.
We’re taking a family vaca and being tourists a little bit. We’ll definitely see some beaches and Disney (more on that another day). AND I have a few friends from Chicago who will happen to vacationing at the same time!!! It’s going to be fabulous to have some of people in So Cal. I’ll be sure to share all our travels when I’m back.
I really want to do a lot of shooting while I’m in Cali. I need to take advantage of the gorgeous California sun. While I’ll definitely take a ton of photos of my fam, I thought it would be awesome to offer mini sessions while I’m getting my vaca on in the OC and LA :)
So if you’re in need of an engagement, anniversary or family session I’m offering some fun mini sessions in August.
