I feel so fortunate to get to do the work that I do. There are so many things that I love about it, but here are my top 5 reasons I love wedding photography.
Capturing Lifetime Memories
Photographs are one of the few things from your wedding day that you get to take with you. The importance of good photography on your wedding day is not lost on me. I value the fact that I’m creating moments that my couples will be able to share with their children and grandchildren.
Building Relationships
Whether it’s with the amazing couples I get to work with or the awesome vendors I love getting to know people. So many of the couples I work with enjoy food and travel and wine. They’re laid back and just want to have a great time on their wedding day. I love this.
The creatives in the wedding industry always have me in awe. The work people create pushes me to be better.
Couples Portraits
This is one of my absolute favorite parts of the day. I love being able to capture two people who are so truly in love they decide to commit to a lifetime together. It’s an absolute honor

Couples photos are so magical because it’s one of the few times throughout the day that my couples get with just each other. The day goes so fast and is filled with so much activity that I love when they get these pockets of times to enjoy each other.
So Many Styles
Wedding photography includes so many different styles of photography photojournalistic, family, portrait, flatlays, and details. In order to fully tell a story, you really need to make sure you develop so many different photographic skills.
As a wedding photographer, you need to be able to use light and natural light. You need to be able to work with people. I feel like I get pushed to grow creatively every time I shoot.
Love and Joy-Filled Wedding Days
Finally, one of the biggest reasons I love wedding photography is each wedding is filled with joy. The amount of happiness that everyone exudes keeps a smile on my face the whole day. Everyone completely loves and appreciate everything because it’s a day filled with celebrating two people who really love each other. You spend the whole day enjoying yourselves
Let me tell you there’s nothing more magical than a wedding day because no matter what happens it’s still one of the most beautiful days in your life ever.
Wedding bus breaks down. No problem hop in an Uber.
The dress gets dirty. Who cares? Dance it off.
Seriously I will say this over and over again: “If you’re marrying the person you love for always, then none of the other parts really matter.” I have found in the end no little slip up throughout the day really can tarnish your wedding day.

It’s no secret I’m a sucker for romance. I great love story tell me all about it. I romantic comedy I’m here for it. YOU saying yes to forever with your love. Yes Please! AND friends, I still tear up when I see couples say I do.
