Early Summer Firehouse Chicago Wedding Photos

I love that I get to share Emily and Ryan’s early Summer Firehouse Chicago Wedding Photos! It was such a lovely day from beginning to end! One of the things that Emily and Ryan appreciated so much about their day was that they could spend their whole day just at their venue! They both used the private wedding suites to get ready for their wedding and enjoy a slow start!

Emily started the day relaxing and having hair and makeup done with her matron of honor and family! They enjoyed the easygoing morning and the quiet comfort of the wedding suite! When it was time for Emily to get dressed, Sarah helped her button in and step into her shoes. Emily’s dress was a beautiful Vera Wang. It was elegant and soft and just pure perfection. The gauzy flowy skirt caught light in the prettiest way! She paired her soft flowing dress with the most unique velvet Kurt Geiger shoes! It was such a playful combination and the best way to incorporate something blue! Ryan and his best man (Emily’s son :) enjoyed the captain’s quarters for their preparations. When they were done Emily’s son could enjoy hanging out with family.

Once both Emily and Ryan were ready we met for their first look in front of the big fire doors! It makes the best backdrop for wedding photos! The quiet sweet moments between them were some of my favorite to capture! We took all of their wedding party photos in the same place because they both loved it so much! After portraits, they enjoyed their ceremony with all their loved ones. The long line of the aisle added such an elegant feel to the outdoor space!

The rest of their day they got to enjoy the open space next to the Firehouse! They had their ceremony and cocktail under the open sky, which felt so airy! Before the night ended Emily had one outfit change into a simple sophisticated white dress to dance the night away with all the people they loved the most!
