Amy and John had the sweetest intimate summer University Club wedding photos! It was really important to them to have moments captured more so than posed portraits. They wanted to make sure that they both felt really comfortable in front of the camera since we didn’t do an engagement session.
Amy got ready directly at the University club. She was surrounded by her mother and her maid of honor. They kept the morning very simple and relaxed. Both her mother and best friend who happened to also be her cousin helped her enjoy the morning and get dressed for her walk down the aisle! She had the sweetest moment with her father when he walked into their getting-ready room. They both were overwhelmed with emotions and joy for the wedding day!
When Amy was ready, we went up to the balcony where Jon was waiting with his sweet little boy for the first look. While it had rained it was still very beautiful out. Once they had had some moments for themselves along with John‘s son. We captured some sweet moments of them together. Once out on the balcony they admired the view and had quiet moments together!
After Portraits, we went straight into the ceremony in one of the more intimate rooms that overlooks Michigan Avenue. They had a spectacular ceremony said by one of their close friends and it was tailored exactly to who they are as a couple! Every piece of their day felt like exactly the celebration they should have and wanted. I hope you enjoy their photos!
