Rivers Restaurant Wedding Photos

I’m so excited to share Sophia and Alex’s Rivers Restaurant wedding photos! Their wedding day was beautiful from beginning to end! We started the day at the JW Marriot in the west loop! The beginning of the day was filled with so much joy for celebrating their love! We started by taking photos of their most important details and then capturing the quiet moments before they saw each other for the first time! They also decided to exchange letters, which is one of my favorite things for couples. It always makes brides and grooms feel all the feels!

As Sophia read her letter from Alex the tears of joy slowly filled her eyes, followed very quickly with sweet quips of exuberantly exclaiming her happiness to finally be marrying her love. Moments like these show me just how lucky I am to capture these special events in couples love. The romance of a love letter filled with authentic emotions never fails to exhibit beauty!

When Sophia and Alex shared their first look on the steps of the JW the day was really ready to start. The whole wedding party piled on to the bus to head to Olive Park for portraits in one of the most iconic locations in the city! After taking photos in beautiful bright summer light with the skyline as the backdrop we headed to the Lyric Opera House to take their family photos and we were done so early we took a few more photos with the whole bridal party! Once we were done it was a quick walk over to Rivers to enjoy the rest of their day!

Alex and Sophia had their ceremony outside right along the Chicago river. It’s such a unique location for a ceremony. Some of the best moments were, how they added in some of their Greek traditions during their ceremony when they walked or really danced down the aisle in their crowns. They were both so joyful!
