Spring Chicago Loft Wedding Melissa and Mark

I’m so excited to share Melissa & Mark’s Spring Chicago loft wedding! There was so much to love from their day! They chose Lacuna Artist Lofts because it’s a fun location with all the art pieces and the rooftop is epic!

The day started at the Hilton Garden Inn at McCormick Place. While it was chilly out, the sun was shining and the light was beautiful. Melissa spent the morning with her bridesmaids enjoying time together while they got their hair and makeup done! I was able to use some of the beautiful loose bloom that their florist, Florist and Hound, provided. The addition of florals to detail photos always elevates the look! Melissa loves the color purple and it was included in so many of her details. From Mark’s deep purple shoes, to the bridesmaid’s variety of purple dresses, to the assortment of purple flowers there were so many touches of purple throughout the day.

Melissa and Mark opted to do a first look so they would have the advantage of being able to enjoy their cocktail hour with their guests. As Mark waited for Melissa to tap his shoulder his smile never left his face! After the first look at the hotel, everyone got onto the bus to head to Lacuna Lofts. We were able to use different locations around the venue to take wedding party photos. We first used a loft space with beautiful window light, then we headed to the rooftop to take advantage of the skyline view. This is always a favorite location for couples, so we didn’t let the cold stop us from enjoying it as well!

One of the highlights of the day was the ceremony. The space brought the lush greenery of the outdoors into the industrial loft space! It was such a unique transformation of the space. Then getting to hear their personal vows created a special moment! It’s always a joy to hear what’s most important to a couple to include in their own vows! The whole day was just breathtaking and easy from beginning to end. It was because Melissa and Mark are such a laid back happy couple, but also because of the amazing team at Urban Allure Events!
