On a chilly winter day at sunrise I met Emily and Ryan for their Fabyan Forest Preserve engagement photos! The weather was cold but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the preserve. There were so many pathways that were stunning in the early morning light. It was my first time taking pictures at the preserve and I loved all of the interesting spaces. The cement and iron gate was really captivating.
Emily and Mike have a unique love story! It’s not very often I meet couples that marry their first love! They met in high school, dated through college, and grew together as they pursued their careers! They moved to California for a brief time and came back to Illinois to really begin their married lives together. One of my favorite parts of spending time with them was they were so willing to laugh and have fun together! A favorite photo of them together is Mike giving Emily a piggyback ride. Another great moment was when they popped their personalized bottle of champagne! It’s a great example of even when things don’t happen as expected they’re still fun to capture!
