My love recently asked me what my favorite adventure was together. I was quickly reminded of the first time we went on a trip together. We took a long road trip from Chicago to Florida very early in our relationship. We laughed, ate way too much junk food, and learned that we go together like peanut butter and jelly!
What I had forgotten was this quick day trip to San Francisco California that we took last Spring. It was dreamy because it was just the two of us (it’s rarely just us anymore). I planned a day where we got to see ALL the things (my mother would have been proud, she’s a rest-when-you-return kind of vacation planner :)
We started the day trecking up to Coit Tower. I didn’t take a picture of the tower, but from where we parked I got a great picture of the Oakland Bay Bridge (maybe not as famous as the Golden Gate Bridge, but we did cross it when we went to see my cousin).
Once we left there we headed towards Fisherman’s Warf and passed through China Town. I got a great bowl of clam chowder in a bread bowl because well why not. Then we headed out to see Ghirardeli and eat some chocolate. Out on the rickety cement pier (it looked like it was closed off, but people were on it), I was able to get pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz.
We ended the day at Alamo Square park because I couldn’t go to San Francisco and not see the Painted Ladies. The whole time I was there the theme song to Full House kept playing in my head!
