I’m so excited to share Jess and Danny’s Summer Busse Woods engagement photos! Busse Woods is a massive nature preserve with so many possible spots to meet. If you do an engagement session there it’s so important to plan ahead for where you will meet. There are so many potential paths to take beautiful photos. The day we met was warm and sunny. There was so much greenery and beautiful light poured in through the canopy of trees.
The night Jess and Dan met they played trivia at a bar and as luck would have it they won! Starting their relationship off with a win is probably one of the better ways to start a relationship. The joy they bring each other is evident by the big laughter that Danny brings out in Jess.
For their proposal, Danny decided to keep it simple Because easy always works for them! Jess and Dan do not need huge amount of attention. Danny proposed to Jess over an intimate breakfast in bed and of course, Jess said yes!!
Just like the proposal, we decided to keep their engagement session simple. It was so much fun just taking a simple path in the woods. We started the session with their sweet dog joining us as we walked along the path! Then Jess’ mom took over dog walking.
During our session I got to hear all about their wedding plans. They easily laughed and enjoyed being with each other, which made it so much fun to photograph them as a couple! Whenever they gazed at each other it was amazing to see how their love shone through! One of my favorite moments from their session was when Danny bumped into Jess and she erupted into the best laughter.
