On a beautiful warm day I captured Gretchen and Tom‘s Summer Chicago skyline engagement photos. They wanted photos that featured the amazing Chicago skyline so we decided to meet at North Avenue Beach. There are many beautiful locations for pictures of the skyline, such the Museum Campus, and Olive Park, but one of my favorites is North Avenue. It has such an iconic view of the city!
Like so many couples Gretchen and Tom met online. They found each other on Bumble and decided to go on a date. It was easy right from the start for them. They found synchronicity that felt just right for example Tom was from Michigan and went to the University of Michigan and Gretchen’s mom went there also! They moved in together right before the pandemic and got engaged in Milwaukee after a concert at a brewery. I always say couples who lived through the pandemic really know what their relationship can handle!
Our session together was also easy right from the start! We walked along the running path that looks out across Lake Michigan. We took advantage of different locations around the beach to get different angles of the skyline. Gretchen and Tom have such an easiness about them and they bring out the best smiles in each other.
