The Chicago History Museum is a stunning wedding venue just North of downtown Chicago. This space is known for its amazing architecture inside and out! The timeless grand staircase and lovely outdoor space that shows a small part of downtown Chicago make this space truly special.
Location Location Location
Located just outside of downtown Chicago the History Museum offers easy options for guests to stay at nearby hotels such as the Ambassador. It’s also very easy to head to some epic Chicago portrait locations! You get a real city feel with sweet bits of nature from the surrounding garden and park!
Ceremony Locations
Whether you want to have an indoor ceremony or an outdoor ceremony there are many beautiful options at the History Museum! My favorite option is to have it outdoors facing the grand staircase! The walk down the steps of the museum makes a stunning entrance! When you’re outdoors you have the option to have your ceremony face toward the beautiful greenery or toward the building!
Cocktail Spaces
Cocktail is typically held in one of two different locations. The indoor space offers true elegance with a timeless style! My favorite part of an indoor cocktail at the Museum is the archways that connect the halls! For the outdoor space guests get to enjoy the beautiful garden space with peeks of the Chicago skyline! Both spaces are truly a win!

One of the best parts of the Chicago History Museum is that multiple locations make wonderful options for photos. The nearby trees offer great greenery for a backdrop. Using the steps offers a wonderful use of the architecture for a backdrop.
